After five event days, the FLENS SURF CUP 2011 (presented by Volvo) on Westerland, Sylt, came to an end on Sunday. The German North Sea presented itself as usual: rough and demanding with 6 beaufort winds and waves as high as 3 metres. A wave-riding, three slalom and ten racing competitions were held. After an impressive performance at the final day, Vincent Langer of Kiel won this most important German competition, followed by the record windsufer Bernd Flessner. Flessner is the overall winner of all season competitions and has thus gained the 16th German Championship Title ("Deutscher Meister").
