Surfers of the Year 2009 elected on "boot"

04.03.2010

For the 4th time, the "surfers of the year" national and international have been elected on the boot show in Düsseldorf

SURF, Europe's largest surf magazine, has asked its readers to vote for the surfer of the year 2009 (national and international). More than 2.500 readers voted for their favourite surfers. Just like the last three years, Björn Dunkerbeck has been elected international Surfer of the Year.

In Germany, there has been a big change - the award was given to the only fifteen year-old Philip Köster, who surpassed last year's winner and surfing hero Bernd Flessner (he came 3rd.) Klaas Voget came 2nd. The "Surfers of the Year" were awarded during this year's water sport show "boot" in Düsseldorf.
