Spanish whizz kid with a German passport

Even before the big finale on Sylt, Philip Köster became the first ever German wave worldchampion - at the age of 17. His title then became official in Sylt in October 2011.

In 2012, Philip repeated the hat trick: for the second time in a row, Philip became Wave world champion. And again, his victory was already clear even before the big finale in Sylt. But at least (for the spectators and followers at the event in Klitmoller, Denmark) this time he made it a little more exciting: he battled hard against his closest rival Victor Fernandez Lopez.

What will follow? We will have to wait and see, but it is sure that (more) big things can be expected from the double world champion and repeated "Surfer of the Year", Philip.
