It was a last minute decision, due to the wind conditions, which only allowed two races at the last competition day. After the wind had failed the 40 competitors during the first two days, it finally came on Sunday late afternoon and allowed two competitions in the discipline racing. 13-times German Champion Bernd Flessner from Norderney (GER) won both races and won the first event of the German Windsurfcup of the new season.
