The 11th edition of the Defi Wind ended today under bright sunshine which allowed for a perfect closing ceremony.

This year more than 850 windsurfers from over 20 nations met in Gruissan for the world’s most popular windsurfing event, and although the weather allowed for only one day of wind to do the traditional 40km route at full speed, everyone spent four unforgettable days, gathered together to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of this great watersport!

With 27 countries represented this year on the spot at Gruissan the Defi Wind once again confirms its status as the most popular windsurfing event in the World.

The light wind days this year gave participants an opportunity to try out NeilPryde’s RS:One, a rig and board designed to perform in all kinds of conditions – from 3 to 30 knots. The RS:One enabled a race to be held and many people took part in the fun.
