

From October 9th to 11th, windsurfing fans can dash into the Dutch Ijsselmeer with the brand new windsurfing equipment of the upcoming season 2010. During the first European Surf Festival in Makkum, lots of exhibitors present their innovations for the 2010’s season. The organizers of the German-Dutch surf events are the Dutch Surf Magazine and the German “Surf”.


Top Program
Testing, Sports and Party. Actually, one does not have to explain more about the first European Surf Festival in Makkum. For the first time in this year, the popular windsurfing spot will be the location for the collaborative festival of the leading surf magazines in the Netherlands and Germany. This is the first opportunity for lots of windsurfing fans to go onto the water with the new material.
Windsurfing & Testing with the world’s stars
Lots of exhibitors welcome the early festival date in autumn, and though have booked their participation already. Some renowned board brands have signed in. And also well known windsurfing pros have added the festival to their full calendars: the Brazilian Marcilio “Brawzinho” Brown is counted to the world elite in wave and freestyle windsurfing, likewise as the German Andre Paskowski from Hamburg. Multiple World Champion Kauli Seadi won’t miss the happening, as well as Hawaiian youngster and Naish-protégé Kai Lenny, who only is 16 years old.



Formula Windsurfing competition action
One more highlight of the festival’s program will be the Dutch Championship in slalom and racing of the Formula Windsurfing discipline. Every German is also allowed to participate in the open championships and will be included in the judging.
SUP and Speed Challenge
Furthermore, Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and the F2 Speed Challenge are part of the program. During the F2 Speed Challenge, everybody can experience his personal speed rush – a brand new speed missile awaits the winner.
