The world's highest situated windsurf event at 1.800 meters

Water, wind, waves and mountains: from July 3rd to 5th 2009 for the 32st time the surf classic Engadinwind takes place in Silvaplana in Switzerland. Within the programme: the Swiss championship in windsurfing and the German SEAT Kitesurf Trophy. Additionally, the legendary surf marathon as part of the event will start later, at the 15./16.th of August. Kite surfers are allowed to start as well at the marathon. So to speak, that will be international understanding on highest level.

The Lake is the Swiss Mecca for wind and kite surfers. Thanks to the steady Maloja wind, most of the time conditions are ideal for surfing in the Oberengadin. Windsurfing-legend Björn Dunkerbeck also appreciates this conditions very much. For over one year, the Dutch half-Dane who grew up at Gran Canary now lives in Switzerland at the Lake Silvaplana.
