Europe is the biggest windsufing market of the world, but before the foundation of the EFPT in 2003, continental competitions were rather isolated and unorganized. The registration of the surfers was often complicated and there was no common European title.

European Championship
The EFPT unites Freestyle competition from all over Europe under its umbrella and gives away an European Champion title. It also makes life for the surfers and the windsurf industry easier. The europewide marketing of the sport and the trend discipline Freestyle becomes more easy. A tourmanager keeps in contact with the individual, regional events and negotiates contracts. An important part of the EFPT concept is its website, on which the surfers can enter their name for competition and get into contact with sponsors. Those, on the other hand have the possibility to contact talented surfers and to watch their development.

Venues

The 2011 EFPT Tour will stop in in Austria, Greece, Belgium, Italy and Israel. The EFPT has become the second most important international windsurfing Tour after the PWA.
