The competition system of the professional sport of windsurfing might appear a little bit confusing to some outsiders. This results out of the history of this sport. There are several associations which stage competitions in sometimes the same disciplines - but normally on different national levels.
On the following pages you will find an overview about the most important titles in the professional, international sport of windsurfing. Those are the titles of the series PWA, EFPT, Speed World Cup, Formula Windsurfing and the races of the RS:X class (Olympic class).
