International Sailing Association (ISAF)

The ISAF has already been existing since 1907 and functions as an international control authority of sailing. Its members are respective national sail and windsurf associations.

Concerning windsurfing it is responsible for the regulations of the different competition classses [Link: www.sailing.org/default.asp keeps lists, for example about the surfboards allowed at the competitions and it sets up

rules for windsurf regattas.
