Sigri is located at the west coast of the Greek island Lesbos and can still be considered – despite its great windsurf conditions – as a secret spot.
Life at the Sigri is very relaxed, the bay is protected from the open sea and offers flatwater conditions most of the time – great for all advanced sailors who want to practice new moves.
When the wind is very strong, bigger waves pass through the channel further outside, so even for experts it can be good fun sailing there. Most of the time the local wind Meltemi blows moderate and very constant during the summer months– typical for whole Greece.
Despite great windsurf-conditions Lesbos offers a lot more to discover, for example the romantic villages Mytilini or Plomari. Luckily no tourist ghettos can be found in the surrounding area, only little villages with traditional greek lifestyle…
